Cub engine block leak - Help!

I think I have a small leak somehwere in the block. The engine froze with water in it, just after I had it rebuilt :-(

Water shows up in the oil, but no exhaust shows up in the cooling system. There is more water than I though at first. I intend to drop the oil pan and watch for the drip location to see if I can find it.

Is there a leak sealant that works best in a cooling system that does not have a pump to circulate it?

If I add something like Bars Leak, will it clump up somewhere and destroy the engine for lack of coolant circulation. Or is it OK to use?
