I know much has been said about the date of color change,I have a '35 F20 and a '35 F30 (by serial numbers). Neither showed any gray paint anywhere, only red. As for primer paint, I wonder if it was used. Restored 2 KB model trucks and didn't appear to have primer under the paint. Maybe the paint that was used then didn't require a primer. My thoughts only.
