Steven, I used to have a MTA that had Char-Lynn ps on it. The orbit motor went in the steering shaft ahead of the guages under the hood and was plumbed into the live hydraulics. If the 450 is like my 350, it has a Behlen ps unit in the steering shaft up over the valve cover and has a brace that attaches to front of the engine. The Char-Lynn steers easier and quicker than the Behlen, but the Behlen is supposed to hold up better under a loader. You don't have to modify the hood for Char-Lynn which is what I would vote for after having both.
