just add the pump and go you cannot use apressure cap on the radiator as the over flow tube needs to let out excess water when it is overfilled and expands you will need the longer belt. We do this on mower tractors as the block gets plugged where the coolant passes below the sleeve. Adding the pump will surely keep the engine cool. You mite want to drain the cooland and refill with vinegar as it can sure loosen up a lot of junk. Its not uncommon when pulling the old sleeves to find lots of junk around the bottom sometimes even has the holes plugged. So just add the pump and go.
