I have a SA that I want to change over to a water pump set up and pressurized radiator does anyone know what is involved in doing a swap? The tractor does not a have a water pump or pressurized radiator system on it now. Where do I get the parts for the swap? Any tips Thanks for any help.

just add the pump and go you cannot use apressure cap on the radiator as the over flow tube needs to let out excess water when it is overfilled and expands you will need the longer belt. We do this on mower tractors as the block gets plugged where the coolant passes below the sleeve. Adding the pump will surely keep the engine cool. You mite want to drain the cooland and refill with vinegar as it can sure loosen up a lot of junk. Its not uncommon when pulling the old sleeves to find lots of junk around the bottom sometimes even has the holes plugged. So just add the pump and go.

I changed the water pump on a SC. I got the pump at car quest for 50.00 and returned the old one.

Your radiator will work fine, just put a pressure cap on it.

R.Baker I have a 51 sa and I put a water pump on mine but left the old rad alone because they cost to much $$ to go preasure I just bought mine from www.stienertractor.com for 100 bucks they have the belt for it to. mine runs good with the old rad. You may have to do a mod on the alt or gov bracket to adjust this belt but it can be done
