Thanks for all the valuable guidance. I'll be sure to have the ta lever forward and clutch engaged when going up/down hills. This does have power steering, so I'm glad to hear that's what accounts for the feeling that the front end is light. Mostly, I appreciate the genuine helpful feeling on this forum. You have all been around this equipment for years and, in many cases, generations. I'm grateful for the help.
