Basket Case H-Broken stud Steering nut

Well I get to keep working on this H since it has been raining for 2 days.

Got all the head studs out using the 2 nut method except for 1, sucker broke off on me right below the hole. I searched the forums and it looks like trying to weld a nut on is the best way. I may leave it if I end up taking the block in to a machine shop.

Should I hook up my steering shaft to try and get the nut loose? Do you heat the shaft or the steering wheel when trying to pull it?

As long as it rains the honey do list gets put aside ; )

Also have the cylinders soaking with PB blaster, not that it will do any good. They look to be rusted solid to me.
