Ok I have a 300 row crop. I am concerned about the oil pressure at idle. I have an old gauge without the number readings. so here is the situation... I can start the tractor in the morning and it will idle and run full power and the oil pressuer reads between the o and the l at both throttle settings. I will ge the tractor hot and the oil pressure will read straight up between the o and the l at full throttle. here is what is wierd. I will idle the tractor down and the pressure will drop to the left of the O right before the red part of the gauge. The tractor uses no oil and does not smoke. There is no knocking and it is almost hard to tell if the motor is running it is so quiet. I have pleanty of power and no leaks at all. I let it idle for 15 min today and nary a sound besides the exhaust note. should I be concerned? anything I should look for or should i just let it go and thank IH for making a good tractor!
