Model A, 1945, miss fire?

My model A Farmall runs pretty good, but I can detect a slight miss-fire (in one cylinder I believe). When idleing there is a detectable "puff-back" in the exhaust tone. If I lug the engine slightly, say in 4th gear, the miss-fire is more noticeable to me. I have gone through the mag, put on new spark plug wires and changed the plugs. I have not compression checked the individual cylinders.
Any advice/thoughts will be appreciated.
