On your first problem, it sounds like your MCV pump is losing prime. Did you have the tractor split between the clutch housing and the range transmission housing? If so, it sounds like you forgot to install the o-ring that seals the oil passage from the filter housing to the MCV pump. You"ll need to resplit the tractor to fix that. Second problem, your dump valve linkage is out of adjustment. Purpose of the dump valve is to disengage the direct drive clutch pack in the TA by dumping the oil pressure out of it when the clutch pedal is depressed. This prevents the "wind-up effect" of being in direct drive and TA at the same time, which makes it difficult to get the transmission out of gear. When the pressure in the TA circut is dumped, so is the lube circut pressure, which causes the red light to come on. Get yourself a good manual, fix the missing o-ring problem, then adjust out your clutch pedal free travel, dump valve, trans. brake, TA, and shift linakges exactly to the letter and she"ll shift like new.
