the gen was rebuilt about 5 years ago according to the previous owner, and it looks like it was. it's stamped 8v on it so i'm assuming its 8 volt. belt is tight, but it's adjusted all the way out on the outside of the pully, which now makes me wonder if that would make it turn too slow. batt seems ok, its 3 years old but seems to hold a charge and turns it over ok. i wouldn't worry about it if i worked it more, but it spends alot of time just above an idle.
