Hi All.
Do I have to drain the transmission before I remove the PTO unit? The manual simply says "remove unit". Also, is there a rebuild kit available for these (clutch type)? It is slipping under load and is adjusted so tight it drags when disengaged. I imagine it needs new friction plates. What are the common failure modes on these beasts and how poor will I be after the dealer gets finished with me? Is there an aftermarket parts source?
