The only way I know of is to look at the regulator, sometimes they are marked or maybe you can cross reference the reg part number. Taking a light apart and checking the numbers on the bulb may tell you somthing about the voltage too.
If it has an alternator, instead of a generator it's almost always 12volts, negative ground.
