farmall 2 speed rear axle

My dad is looking at a Farmall H or M ( can't remember) that has a 2 speed axle? The people who told him about it said they were fairly rare but we have no idea is they were or not. Does anyone on here know and if so how much would it be worth? I think they have restored it or at least painted it but since I haven't seen it yet I am not sure of that either. thanks!
