Be happy you got the diesel, our 544 is a gasser and it won't run worth $#$#(^ until it is fully warmed up, and then it can be iffy. When it need overhauling it pushed oil out around the spark plugs and the spark plugs would come loose and fall out all the time. Fresh overhaul solved that. Carb kit, professional tuning, etc. and it still doesn't run for #%(* when it is cold (even in the summertime you have to warm it up) That thing has made me HATE gas tractors! Other than the engine, it is a good tractor, ours has the shuttle shift transmission, FWD and Reverse in any gear, great for a loader. Steven
