I went through the diferential and tranny on mine and would advise pulling the deck also. That way you can have a good look-see in there. If one bearing went south you might have others in need of attention. I ended up changing 10 bearings in mine, but the whole thing was worn out when I got the tractor and I wasn't too surprised. Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
