The low gear in the older Farmall Tractors is too fast to use a rototiller. You would need a creeper gear which I expect might have been an option on some of them, or an aftermarket add on, but those would be rare and hard to find. Also, you really need live pto for the rototiller to work the best. I have a 6 ft rototiller that I use with a 47 HP tractor that has 12 transmission speeds. I usually work in the slowest 3 speeds which are from 1 to 1.6 MPH and it does a great job. The low gear on the older Farmalls was generally a little over 2 MPH, too fast for a rototiller except in very soft ground. For a 5 ft tiller, you would need 25-30 pto hp to work good.
