My Dad had an adapter that was made by IH in the early '60's that slid into the fast hitch prongs and was a self contained 3 point unit. I bought a junked 230 for parts a couple years ago and it had one of these adapters with it (but I don't want to sell it). It is neat in the fact that your 2 point hitch remains intact. I have seen some posts that state these adapters can be found in some salvage yards. In my opinion that would be the easiest way to go 3 point if you could find one. I have a Super C parts manual and this adapter is featured in the special attachments section. Someone should start manufacturing these again. They were also made in a heavy duty version as we also had one for a 706 to pickup a 4 section mounted rotary hoe.
