Super C front castings

I was mowing with my wife's Super C and 100 balanced head sickle bar mower today. Made me think about when I was a kid I dropped the front end of Dad's 200 off in a ditch (trycycle front end) and the front bolster casting broke completly off. The front wheels folded under the tractor and the grille and radiator were ruined. The day before this happened Dad had given me a lecture about this same topic because an elderly farmer up the road did the same thing to his Super C, except he hit his chest on the steering wheel and broke two ribs. If Dad hadn't said anything this probably wouldn't have happened to me! A few years ago a friend was clipping along the end of a hay field with his wide front Super C. He dropped the left front wheel off in a hole and the engine block broke completely off just ahead of the clutch housing. Just want to warn those of you who did not grow up around these tractors to be careful. They are great, handy little tractors but they do have their weak points.
