Brian, I just took the studs out of my Farmall A last week. I bought a stud remover which is a special tool that you connect to a 1/2 inch drive ratchet or breaker bar. It isn't that expensive as I remember (bought it several years ago). Some came out easy and some were really hard to get out, but they all came out. They are just threaded in with coarse threads. That end of the stud is some kind of a special 1/2 inch thread that will not work on my 1/2 inch thread die. Roger
