Yes the tube off the front is the governor linkage to the throttle butterfly plate. That 300 carburetor should be the same as the Super H. It is a 1 1/4 IH updraft. Give Ken Updike a call. 608-455-2411. He can fix you up. Make sure the kit has the screened nut assembly where the gas line hooks to the carburetor.
