I have a Super W-6 that did the same thing a couple days ago. I was pulling a wagon, stopped to load it with the tractor idling, and she stalled out as I started to pull the wagon. I had to close the choke part-way to get her into the barn. I haven't had time to fix it yet, but I'm pretty sure something got into the main jet in the carb. If it was in the line, closing the choke wouldn't help it run. Another possibility would be a leaky intake manifold, but I doubt it after traveling 30 miles. In fact, traveling 30 miles in 5th gear could stir up alot of crud on the bottom of the tank. I had this happen the first time I trailered a tractor home. I left the gas valve open and had to rebuild the carb. to get the old girl started.
