Paul, I don't think you're nuts at all. Plus I think that your wife is very pratical like mine. $1000 is a lot of money to shell out but it's money well spent if it goes for a 50 year old tractor that hasn't been in production for about as many years, that's in relative excellent shape plus implements that you can either use or sell to recoup some of your money. If you were into antique cars I'll bet you would spend a lot more. I just returned from a two day, 150 tractor show and could have sold at least 5 or 6 Cub 54 blades if I had had them at the show. I'd say buy it asap!//FB
