Duane, I'd suggest that you try attaching to the large bolt holes on the clutch housing as well as at the hitch, and try to run something from the clutch housing to the outermost portions of your bracket. I'm afraid what you're describing (basically a one-point attachment) would be awfully prone to bending, etc. It's also going to put an awful lot of torque on that hitch point if the load in or from the loader is not evenly distributed; and something's likely to break. If you can come up with a multipoint attachment, and get the load distributed as widely as possible over the width of the tractor, your chances for success are much better. Good luck.
