I sounds like a classic case of Vapor Lock. Another possibility could be a thermal problem with the condensor getting hot opening up. It doesn't sound like anything serious. I would try the condensor as they are cheap. If you continue to have the problem, I would suspect a vapor lock in the fuel system. Cool fuel and Hot fuel lines will do it, you could try a heat shield of some type on the lines to combat this.
