Is the serial number tag still on the left seat support. Is it still legable? On the 1940 A this number should match the number by #1 plug on the engine. If not then the engine was not part of the origional tractor. I don't recognize the number you posted, so suspect it is a replacement engine of some kind. Dave BN.
