Engine serial number question

Not sure if my first post made it through or not, but I have a question about the serial number on the engine on my '40 A. Near #1 spark plug is a set of numbers that reads: IMAM (space) G and underneath it the number 23015. I've come to the conclusion that this engine is not a 'tractor' engine, but might be a stationary or power plant engine. Does anyone recognize this number?
