Sherri, tell your Dad that the rear end oil should be changed as well. There is a plug at the rear under the pto. Remove the plug and drain the oil. I'll bet there is water in the rear oil. You can tell if there is by the colour of the contents. If the oil coming out is about the colour of cardboard it is contaminated. If the tractor has been sitting for a long period of time you may get water running out of the plug hole followed by oil.Replace with SAE 80-90 gear oil. You can buy gear oil in 5 gallon pails at TSC or walmart a lot cheaper than at a dealers. You will need 6 us gallons to fill the rear. The filler plug is on the top of the transmission deck right beside the steering column support. Get back to us if you have questions and as The Red said lots of people are out here to help
