The battery under the seat was on late 53'and all 54'Super H's,early 53's still had the battery under the gas tank.My dad has a 54'Super H,with the type of seat you are describing Michael,and it also has an M&W hand clutch.The Red is correct,the hydraulic reservoir is located under the gas tank,and the starter is more to the left side of the engine instead of in the center,as on my 51' H.There are many more subtle differences between the H and Super H,besides hydraulics,and,engine size/HP.
