The PTO & belt pulley were options and many don't have them. You should be able to get one from a salvage yard and install it on your tractor. Maybe somebody else can confirm this, but, I don't think there is any reason that it wouldn't work. The super A hydraulics won't work on an A because of the difference in the block casting where the Hydraulic pump mounts. Many different methods were used to add hydraulics to A's & B's. Some ran it off the PTO or belt pulley. Sometimes a pump was mounted on a bracket along side the motor and ran it off a belt from the fan pulley. I would suggest the fan belt drive because it makes the system "live". From what I've seen, there are as many different ways to do it as there are imaginations.
