Thanks Red Dave and Glenn for your speedy replies. Yes it is a 6 volt system. I will get some larger cables next weekend and try that. After reading a recent post about smoke coming out of the oil fill I remember seeing that last weekend when riding the tractor. These were small puffs but were noticable. The tractor seemed to be running fine and cool. The oil is brand new. Is this normal and OK? I think I might be a bit paranoid but y'all seem to know everything. Thanks again -- Martin
