Mr. Bill, A nice level area is ideal. Place the hoe just like you have it in the picture, it does not need to be that far out, but it works, with the teeth in the dirt that keeps the water out. There are 4 pins holding the hoe on. The lower 2 are just used as hooks and you will see that after the hoe is removed. The upper 2 pins should have bolts holding the pins in. Remove the bolts, 9/16" I think, you may need a socket and an open end to do this. Lower the stableizers enough to take the weight off the hoe, tap the upper pins out. Then raise the hoe up evenly on each side using the stableizers and the hoe it self to keep it level, you only need to raise it a few inches to clear the lower hook on the pin. At this point it should be clear of the lower pins, in low gear and while looking over your shoulder, move the tractor forward about 1 foot or so, watching the hyd. lines so that you don't pull them. You just need enough room to fit between the mounting bracket and the stableizer to un do the lines - for you sake, hopefully they are quick-coupler. If not, I think I would make them that way. Shut off the engine, I usually bleed a little of the pressure off, disconnect the hoe, then reconnect the 2 lines to each other on the tractor and on the hoe. It keeps the fittings clean. You should be good to go, it will be a totally different tractor for you. If the hoe sits for a while, it will sink a little in the dirt and also bleed off a little of the pressure and move a little. This is ok, when you want to hook back up just back up in line with the hoe, and just about kissing the tractor with the hoe stop, shut down, bleed the hyd. a little connect your hoses and re-start and now you have power to move the hoe up and down and get it back to level so you can back up under the lower pin, lower the hoe onto the hooks, then use the hoe to tilt the unit so you can get the upper pins in.
