Can anyone tell me if they've tried using their Ford N tractor for moving round hay bales around? Either with a spike on the three point or on a front loader? Or is the N tractors too light to handle them?
Thanks,
Rocky

Thanks for all the input guys, Sounds like I'll be better off buying square bales.
I just have 3 horses so I won't be moving a lot of hay.
Thanks again,
Rocky

Not enough weight in the front to move round bales. If you have a drawbar (the one that bolts underneath the tractor) then you could get one of those single bale trailers (slides under bale and hand winch lifts it) and move them like that. I've used one with mine.
Good luck.

I have seen some bale carts even owned one for awhile that was a little awkward but it is a thought for you.

A friend has a Massey Ferguson 165 and can't safely do it.
