I have a farmall-B and someone has added a wide front end to it when i hook up the plow and start plowing it shifts to the left tire it is manual lift and hooks up to the bracket under the steering bolster it throws the dirt to the right and leaves a space of unplowed ground between it and the tire i think it should be at the right side can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong? Thank you for your help.

Hey guys, sounds like he has a one-bottom mounted plow, he says it hooks up under the steering bolster.
Without knowing more or seeing a picture is sounds like you need to move the wheels in to a narrower position.

You are most likely going to have to move the left front and back tires in so they will ride in the cut created by the first cut of the plow. Assuming that the plow is throwing the cut to the right. If not move other side tire to the cut.

You do nt say what you are plowing with. But, to set up plow with tractor you must have the inside of the right rear tire be in line with the inside of the right furrow wheel of the plow/ To do this get them both in a straight lione and get a board long enough to lay across the inside of the right rear wheel (right when setting on the tractor) and back to across the inside of the furrow wheel of the plow. If they dont line up by a wide margin, then you will have to adust the linkage on the plow hitch ntil it does. You can move our drawsbar a bit from side to side, but this puts strain on the tractor, and causes you to have to use the brakes on one side more than normal wearing them out faster. When you have got the plow adjusted to the tracor, take it out and try it. NEVER tie the trip rope to anything on the tractor. Use some pieces of bailing wire to hold the rope, so that if the plow becomes undone it will pull the wire off of whatever you have it hooked to without tearing the rope or breaking the trip lever. When you have the plow tripped, and in the ground, get off and look at how the plow hitch is slanted. It should be in as straight a line when in the ground as pssible, so you may have to do some adjusting there. Ive got a B, but I gave it to my daughter and husband and dont remember if you can raise or lower the drawbar. You may have to do that if possible, but the plow adjustments are better for plow and tractor. Good luck. Use plenty of grease on plow except fot trip mechanism. Put 5 shots a year in it. Grease is way cheaper than parts or aanother plow
