I was thinking about raising pumpkins this year, I live in TN. I was wondering what time of the year to start, whether to start in a plant bed or cups, or just in a row.

I grow up here in MA, as to what is best and when to start depends on the type of pumpkins you want to grow , most are around 100 days or so , the bigger verities are more 120-125 days , soil conditions play a part to ,,, to wet at start , you may be better off starting in cups and putting in later when dry , ,, thats what I face here , that and last frost date .... I plant in rows ,,1) its easier to weed control with tiller 2)watering by drip /soaker hose works better , no moving to weed ,,, 3)that is how my field is set up Hope this helps ... Bill G,

I have one pumpkin plant in my front yard, and it is growing and blooming beautifully, my only problem is that after a few days the blooms fall off, and I have no pumpkins, I have gotten so many different opinions on what the problem is with this issue...Please assist.
