We grow between a couple hundred and a thousand acres of Korean per year to harvest for seed. We broadcast the seed with our urea while topdressing wheat. Cut the wheat, then spray, then cut the lespedeza. It is not a get rich crop, but it has done as well for us as doublecrop soybeans and it greatly reduces the summer work load.

There used to be a lot of lespedaza around here in southwest Missouri. Do not see much any more. I sowed some when I put in oats a couple of years three years ago. The main reason I put it in was that field is along side my woods and since it is not ready for hay until late July or early August It would provide nesting for quail and it so too wet most of the time it is that late in the year before I can get in there to cut it. I am going to broadcast it in some of my pastue ground I put in Korean Have not used any othe variety but I am going to try some Kobe. I broadcast mine since I do not have a drill that will work.
