What is the best way to plant Milo after the ground is worked up. Broadcast or plant in rows???? I am planting for the turkeys and I am very new at this.

Thanks

Drilling it is a better bet both economically and stand-wise. Use 4 to 6 pounds per acre when drilled, and 15 to 20 pounds when broadcast. Not recommended to seed into existing sod. Around here old grain drills are going for a song at the sales. Shoe (hoe) drills are real cheap and easy to keep rolling. Disc drills are a little higher but give good results.

if your planting any size piece of grouned, u might want to plant in rows with a planter. It makes finding the birds in the field easier, and takes much less milo seed
