Uses for a non-three point antique

The tractor, that is, not me...

My '38 Farmall F14 gets used to haul trailers, a ground drive manure spreader, a disk harrow and a sicklebar mower.

My wife sometimes questions the need for two tractors on 4 acres, but not having to take the backhoe (or whatever) off the modern compact diesel is a big help sometimes.

Not to mention the grin factor of seeing a 65 year old tractor perform useful work...

Is your Sickle mower the same age and make as your F-14 tractor.

Sicklebar is an Allis-Chalmers #3.

Not positive how old it is, but looking at the changes to the parts book, it's later than 49, and I think they stopped making it in 53.

I'm a retired Electronics Technican and part time computer geek.

I'm reasonably handy as a junkyard welder, but I'm no tinbender. Fortunately, a friend of mine is, and has access to a shop with all the toys.

Thanks for the nice words about my shop. I spent a lot of years while in the Navy sketching out how I wanted my "ultimate shop" to be laid out when I retired. I built a 4 bay garage, 24 x 48, with 12 foot bays. One bay is my welding/mechanical/metal butchering shop, and one is partitioned off as my woodworking shop. I actually put cars in the other two ":^)
