I'm in the Dallas area and last year my long-time supplier ran out in Oct and couldn't even find rounds to re-bale to squares, so I had to buy at the feed store and switched to rounds. Rounds started out at $95 in Oct. and went to $125 in Feb. This year there's hay on every corner. We were able to bale our own so no more feed store prices, but last I checked rounds at the feed store were still at $65 and expected to increase around Feb when supplies might be lower.

Hay at the sale barn is anywhere from 2.90 to 3.50 a bale and round bales from 1500lb to 1800lbs are 30 to 40 dollars a bale.

3.5x3.5x6' corn stalks are $20 at the field. Closest is 175 miles. 4x4x8" grass hay from Canada is $75 per bale and 20 miles away. Other than that there's no hay for sale here.

Here in Michigan I am selling squares in 1st for $4.50 out of the barn and second at $5.25 out of the barn and 4x4 rounds for $30/bale. Prices are a lot cheaper at the auctions.

I herd 9$ for a small bale a few weeks ago, lately I herd 8, in Maryland. Seen a bunch go at auction for 5 a bale last month, pretty ugly stuff and then herd 6.50 plus last week, at auction.
