Can someone tell me what this is? I see these tractors for sale, and never heard of before?
" **COOP E3 or E4**.

I learned how to drive on an E-3. If you click Tractor Photos to the left and enter CO-OP in search there is a CO-OP E-4 diesel picture if you want to see one.

They were actually the Cockshutt 30 and 40 models painted sort of an orange-red color (with the wheels being the same as the rest of the tractor). The front nose strip said CO-OP instead of COCKSHUTT. That was the only real difference in the tractors. I'm not sure who marketed them in the states. Gambles department store sold the COckshutt 30 model as the Gambles Farmcrest and it was exactly like the Cockshutts in color.

Don't forget the E-5 which was the same as the Cockshutt 50. Decals and paint were the only difference between Co-op and Cockshutt.

The only photos I have are of Cockshutt 40s and 50s. I don't see many Co-op tractors any more from this series. About 20 years ago I bought an engine from a wrecked E5 at a local wreckers yard and thats the last one I recall seeing.

Hi, I believe the COOP's were also sold by some of the farmers cooperatives that were in business for years in the US selling these gems.
Sorry, I don't have pictures, however, if someone does not respond in a week or so give me a hollar and I'll find the name of someone who owns one.
Happy Easter,
