After seeing some of the post and replies I have been suprised at the lack of honesty and integrety of so many people. If someone ignores the terms and conditions or the posting guidelines of the forums they are pretty much showing that they can't be trusted.

Hey Frank ole boy, you just posted completely off topic, in direct violation of the posted rules. Then you say "If someone ignores the terms and conditions or the posting guidelines of the forums they are pretty much showing that they can't be trusted". So, according to YOUR OWN stated judgement, you have proven to yourself that you cant be trusted, have a lack of honesty, and have a lack of integrity. Better get to work on self-improvement. Tom

Frank A, as many on this forum are interested in improving ourselves, please give us some examples of things you have done recently that best demonstrate your honesty and integrity.

Whats the matter with you Frank? Don't you know by now that there is about a dozen here that don't care about tractors, farming or life style. They just want to argue. No matter what you say they will shout you down. Thats what they want and why they are here. This happens to all board, clubs etc. It is a great compliment to YT tractors that it has lasted as long and keeps building in spite of them. So give it up, there are hundred that think like you, but know that if they say any thing, they will be yelled at, just like the kids do in grade school. Now watch them yell at me to prove my point.

Moderator and/or owner can delete my topic if they wish to. They reserve the right but it isn't gone yet. Got some good points of all sides of the matter on that one.

The person that owns and runs this website has stated several times that some degree of deviance from a forums stated focus is tolerated. If it wasn't, this would be a pretty dry and boring place. Yeah, we try to discuss tractors - but we are also real people with other things going on, as well as other concerns.

#1 - I suspect nobody forces you to read all the posts - so when you don't like one, why not just skip over it? Pretty easy to do with a keyboard.

#2 - Your post has nothing to do with "tractors", yet this is the "Tractor Talk" forum. So, how about YOUR integrity?

I'll veer off a main point whenever I feel like it and it has nothing to do with "honesty" or "itegrity", or lack thereof.

I've got many years of hands-on experience in many trades - especially farm tractors. I offer what I know or think when I can. To the converse, many have helped me with their experiences. Considering the amount of time many people take to answer questions - with no money involved - i.e. a "free" exchange of information, seems getting side-tracked once in awhile need not be policed by you.

I'm not saying all OT post are wrong but when somone makes a post when the guidelines that are right there says no political or religious discussions or topics then they're violating trust.

By definition, to engage in politics is to "engage in civil administration."

That is exactly what you are doing here by putting your complaints in the "Tractor Forum."

Complain to Kim if your are displeased with the actions of some of us.

Unlike you (or me), she HAS plenary power since this is her website.

I don't have a complaint and contrary to what Joe thinks I have no desire to be in control. I was just pointing out some interesting facts. I covered a broad subject as to not attack anyone personaly. If someone isn't doing anything wrong then it does't apply anyway If they are and they want to keep it up what does it matter? Well I got to much to do to keep this up so thank for the input and the best to you all.

wow....pretty strong assumptions and allegations..... ..... since your so open and honest, why not just call them out and get it out in the open? If you wanna call BS on someone, call it. Dont hide behind a keyboard and call names..... ...just my 2 cents worth on the subject.

There is dishonesty and then there BS'ing. I try to live an honest life, but as many of my buddies will tell you I am one heck of a Bullpooper. Actually I am surprised at times how honest most people are on here, about there lives. I also notice, and this isn't intended at you, that a lot of those that complain about OT post, come back the next day and post about an off topic subject that they now seem to think is acceptable, because now they have a need. I used to be on the "stay on the tractors only" wagon, but have realized that there is much more camaraderie and knowledge here for all of us to enjoy and share with each other.

Just the other day, I told a co-worker, "if I lie to you, you know I"ll tell you right?" She understood. Of course BSing in person and BSing on a forum are two different things. I usually have a little smirk on my face when I"m fibbing. I just can"t lie worth a darn.

Is this in reference to somebody killing a grizzly bear with a hickory switch? Or that flock of geese that was on the pond when the temperature dropped so quick, they froze in and all flew off and took the pond with them?

A lie is an overt act, i.e. the person doing it knows he or she is misrepresenting the truth. I assume you believe someone is guilty of that here?

Telling someone something you believe to be true, but being wrong, is NOT lying. Obviously the press has a different connotation for the word.

Do you?

If you are really upset because you believe someone has lied directly to you - on this forum- and it has somehow altered your life - complain to Kim. Why make generic statements about it in a tractor forum?

Now, if you know of someone using deceit on this forum to rip people off - then maybe Kim needs to inform the forum community - after you fill her in on the subject.
