Everyone needs to extend the holiday weekend into a full week off.. and stay home, and not buy fuel or any other items. By the end of the week, the entire "Pipeline" will be running over, and they will be begging us to buy fuel.

I hate to say it, but I think its time we invested in locking gas caps for the vehicles. Gas in Dallas/Ft. Worth is jumping 10 to 15 cents every week.

Saw a snippit on the news of the CEO of Shell trying to explain the high prices due to demand and lack of refining capacity. DUH! They've known they were going to peg the capacity for years and it would cause prices to skyrocket. Why should they spend millions to build more refineries when they can make BILLIONS on skyrocketing prices and point the finger of blame somewhere else. In my opinion, just plain greed.

I will answer for many things when it comes my time to stand in judgment before Jesus, but I won't have to answer for causing misery to literally millions of people.

What pi%%es me off the most is that prices wont stabilize. And uncertainty is the worst.

Look at it this way. In a few weeks you will look back and remember when you could buy diesel for ONLY $4.99. Next door to where I work regular gas just went up to $4.20. I was just told heating fuel oil is $4.51 today. I need about 1000 gallons total for this year. No way I can afford that! Looking for other heating options. “I CANT HOLD HER ANY LONGER CAPTAIN, SHES GONNA BLOW!”

Ohh yeah, I was in Harrisburg last week on 22 headed for state college, man that's just ridiculous how much it's gone up.

Are you up for the APP show? My girls do the hunter/jumper thing.

Did you travel via 15 from Fredericksburg? Missed my place here in New Oxford by about 4 miles. Have fun.

Kirk

Yep...Speed events all three days, English today and Western Pleasure on Sunday. Just trying to get tuned up for Mississippi.
Sadly, the folks up here don't go over fences- the only over fences class is Hunter Hack. I've got two of the best Jumpers in Virginia on the trailer, too!
Came up 15...traffic was brutal. Prbably go straight down 81 to Winchester and then through PAris Sunday night.
After day one, we have 8 blues (4 judge show).

15 can be like that (especially South of Frederick, MD.) you were trying to get out on a travel day as well as commuter stuff. Sunday will probably be clear sailing with the holiday Monday. I usually make the decision on route based more on what I am pulling and how much stress it will give me on a given route. Don't know the roads from Winchester to Fredericksburg, but 81 should be nice going.

Hope your success continues.

Kirk

$1.40 per liter in Nakina for 87 road fuel. A five gallon jug of outboard gasoline costs $90.00 in total to fly into camp.
