Does anyone know of any history of Lindsay Bros company in Minneapolis? I have been able to find a few things by doing a search like they made Ag equip and may have had something to do with gas engines. I have a lindsay bros. truck cab on my 23 Olds grain truck according to what the original owner wrote down about the truck.

I don't think they made anything, at least not in the later years. They had manufacturers make "private label" stuff for them.

They were a wholesale distributor and sold ag equipment and plumbing supplies. We had an account with them from the 60's 'til they went BROKE, in the early 80's, IIRC.

I still have a catalog or two from that later era.

Bob, you are right, they never made any of their farm equipment. Their cultivators and a few other things were made by Glenco in Minn.
They didn"t exactly go belly up. When Hugh Lindsay died none of his family wanted anything to do with the company, And I guess just let it destroy itself. I worked for them in the 60"s and a nice company to work for(Hugh was still alive yet)
