I've just been looking for a parts breakdown for a Poulan 2550 chainsaw..I've wasted an hour looking at various different sites , trying to find fuel lines/filters inside the fuel tank..I recently acquired a little used Poulan 2550 chainsaw that was " Hard to Start"....You Betcha!!.. After draining out the fuel tank , I found nothing inside the tank but air..No lines , no filter...Surprising it was a hard starter only missing that stuff.. When I went online to find what's supposed to be there , I was led in circles , always ending up at the starting place...That just "Jacks my Jaw" to no end..Is there anyone with better computer skills than what I have to find a source of illustrations for parts..On Poulan.com , there were about 7 or 8 different 2550 listings , but I couldn't access them.... Circles again..They probably will let me look up parts if I had a part number...Here we go again...How do I find a part number????

I had purchased a new polan saw in 05, used around the home place and had less than 50 hours on it. Would not crank. Took to polan service shop few miles from the house, was told had leaned it self out and burned hole in piston. Wrote letter to Electrox, they mfg polan products, and got letter back with two line. Sorry you have problems with your saw. Nothing we can do. Thanks for your letter.
Still have the say in wellhouse, just sitting there, if you want will send to you. Had 14 inch bar.

You can probably get the fuel line & filter from your chain saw shop. I bought the nylon gas line from Home Depot 1/4" od. Cost was less than a dollar. Poulan has discontinued a lot of their spare parts. I need an ignition module and Sears & Poulan said they're no longer available. I sure hate to junk that saw. Hal

hal, i have a perfectly good Poulan that I dropped a tree on and busted the plastic stuff including the tank, pretty much retiring it. Let me know what you need ignition-wise and how to pull it and I'll see if i can get it out.

Try sears parts. They sell some Poulan stuff and might sell the parts. I bought my Poulan chainsaw at sears and also a lawn mower. Henry

If you go to Poulan.com and do a search for that model at download manuals, usually there are parts pages as part of the manual
