Should be a 4b153 buda motor.

Mine have a Buda engine.

I think $800 to $1000 is a fair price if it runs well, $600 if it runs at all, less if it doesn't.

I don't believe slapping on a little paint improves value dramatically, but I appear to be alone in that. Or maybe the other auction bidders are married, yeah that's probably it.

I agree with Dan's pricing, also agree that it should have a Buda engine (can't remember CID). Mine has live pto and 8 forward gears, 2 reverse: pretty desirable features for that era. A good overall tractor, probably more common in Canada than US.

Are you sure that the engine is a Continental?
Most that i"ve seen had a Chrysler Industrial.

I should"ve said had the F140s in their E2 (later their #20) and the 4"s Budas in their E3 and E3D (later their #30).
Their larger E4"s and E5"s had Buda 6"s: 6b230 and 6b273, and 6da230 and 273.

It"s the original US CO-OPs #2 and #3 that had the CCptn 6cyl engines, trans and diff"s, altho other trans/diff"s were used (built in Battle Creek, Shelbyville, Arthurdale, St-Paul--can"t find where I put my notes!).
Cockshutt bought rights to use name (or company??) to get into US market; Cockshutt"s "CO-OP" had Cont F140s in their #20 and Budas (4b or 4bd153"s) in their #30s, if I"m remembering correctly.
