Will County, IL? I wonder how much the tax was and also how much the permit cost? Ha Ha!!

I used to be an excavating contractor, and everytime I wandered into Will county it would cost me at least $250.00 just so I could work there. Last time they didn't even ask for an ID they just wanted a name, an address, a phone number, and $175.00. All information I gave them was fake, but I got my permit!

Where at in Will County? Used to live in Romeoville, do a lot of work in Kankakee. Still do a lot of work that way in Joliet, Morris, Crete. Mostly that way.

Years back off of 102 a little west of the woman's prison and T-ing off into the park was a little road that went between 102 and maybe Manteno Rd or even more north to Wilmington-Peotone RD that used to have a sign for an annual Thresher's Association going on that occured. That sign disappeared a handful of years ago, but one time before that I happened through there during those dates and took a ride down there. Lots of old iron including steamers, and a pretty good sized flea market of farm goods, antiques, etc, but was on the clock and couldn't stop. When I did get the chance to get back, it was over. Haven't seen that sign in years and wondered what happened to those guys. Looked like a good to do. Same group maybe?

By the way, was a guy on the north side of Wilmington Peotone RD between Old Chicago and Rt 53 used to put his display of red out there every year during the summer months. Last farm before a new subdivision that went up at 53 and Wil-Peotone. What a collection that guy has or had. He was obviously proud and should've been.
