Hay is gone. Cows gotta fend fer themselves until next fall.

Last I saw of 'em, one batch was headed north and another east. 4 of the babies said heck with it and just laid down to take a nap until the "un-guided" tour was over. :>)

Your grass looks greener that ours. We got some rain this evening though so hopefully it will green up a little more.

Mine got tired of waiting & busted the new fence my wife & I had just got up. So, they are out in the pasture now. Was hoping to wait 1 week yet, give the pasture time to grow.

Allan;

Where is this in NE. Looks a little like the Flint Hills in eastern Kansas. Nice country. I really like the midwest, tother side of the Mississippi. Would have liked to have seen it when the country was young. Just can't imagine all that grass stretching to the horizon.

Far northwest corner of the panhandle.

So far out in fact, that this morning when I filled the pickup full of fuel, the clerk wanted to know if I wanted to set up a payment plan..... :>(

I noticed that spot befor. Are you lucky enough to have a pond in the bottom of that draw, or is that a snow drift left over?

Hi Rick,

I don't do it for a living. I'm not smart enough and found out that fact the hard way. :>(

Supposed to be 320 on this place, but this farm is all dryland, so really doesn't count for much. If I remember right, there is 146 in pasture.

That's a remaining snow drift in that picture.

There's a pond out there but there isn't a heck of a lot of water in it; maybe a foot deep or so. :>(
