If you read my post from 2 or 3 days ago. On venting ! You know I hit a deer and my car is kind of dead now. So contacted a rental car dealer that the insurance company said to contact. They told me they had to bring one in from another place Friday and they would deliver it to me at my home. Well Friday evening went and no car and no phone call. Then Saturday morning we tried to contact said company of Enterprise I think that is how it is said. But found out that office was close on Saturdays and no one around!!!! Called insurance company and they were upset over deal and said they will report this guy... lots of good that did me!
So they gave me another company that was 50 miles north of me. They did not have a car there that fit the budget of $25.00 a day nor any other car to rent out either. Plus they closed a noon time and here it was 10 am and no car for us to even get there anyway! Shesssss sssss So now the talk is Monday they can get me one. But I may have to go get it 50 miles one way! Plus the insurance adjuster is coming Monday to see car and talk to me on it. Um ummm ummmm
It got worst! Lots of rain came in with big winds of 30 to 45 mph blowing. Was part of that storm that hit Missouri yesterday and killed several people as seen on news.
So what happens... we lose our lights! House got cold from wind and rain blowing so dam hard. Had to go out in it and start the furnace of wood and then slice into fan wires so my generator would give power to the fan and heat the house. In middle of night trying to talk to Electric Company who informs me that it's out all over the area! Shesssss ssss lol lol got to laugh now. What else can I do?
So had to pull of refrigerator and Freezer and get some power to them to say the food.
Well power is now on and here I am venting. What he heck else can go wrong! Hope you and your family are having a much better day.

Larry, I make it a point to never ever under any circumstances to say "What else can go wrong" Every time I asked that question in years past the answer always seemed to quickly forthcoming and very depressing!...Heres hoping ya have a better week in front of you....Luck...Don

Tomorrow is Monday. Perhaps it will be a good day in reply to Larry59, 05-11-2008 08:37:48
Well looking forward to Monday now. Just maybe things will go better I hope. Hate them dark clouds that tend to stick over one's head for days and weeks even.
Coffee pot is set up for the morning and I will make every attempt to start my motor good with some Java or coffee they say. Even weatherman said nice day tomorrow... but no so nice on tuesday and Wedensday. More rain coming in.

When my Grandmother damaged the family Malibu a few years back, it went into the shop for repairs. The shop sent us to the local rental place after they pre-arranged a rental for us. We walked in as a guy was washing a brand new 2006 Grand Prix GT. When we got the paperwork for our rental, we were to have some POS Mitus-something-or-other. My grandfather said "What about that Pontiac outside?", and was told by the rental person that it was in the next price bracket, and wasn't available for him in his situation. He said "Well, either I leave in that Grand Prix, or I leave in that Mtisubushi, and you don't get paid...pick one..."

We left in the grand prix...

Larry sounds like this rent to own car place out by me may work better for you since its much closer to you. Don't know what they charge or any thing but you might give them a try.

Every car dealer around here rents cars, even the local body shop rents them when your in for repairs.I could see where they don't want to rent to you for 25 a day, that's what they charged 20 years ago.
