I have a LX 565 skidloader and recently it loses power when under load. Seems to run fine until it gets really warmed up then it tends to lose power under load. I changed the inline fuel filter and the regular fuel filter. I cleaned the air filter but did not replace as I didn't have on on hand. It is a diesel engine. The only other tings I thought of was the fuel pump or the governer. Any help would be great.

Joe

On mine a decreae in power tells me it is time to change the air filters. Take them off and run it under a load and see if it helps. I get mine at NAPA, they can cross reference your New Holland number and save you some big money. Dealer must think they are gold plated.

A true napa believer. I have bought filters at my dealer and then at NAPA, and saved big money on them at the DEALER. The Case IH Magnum / NH TG oil filter is a prime example.

Thanks for the ideas but I have a question. If it the fuel cap why would it only be acting up now after the machine is 10 years old? Joe

Plugged with dirt. I've blown them out in a pinch, or leave the cap 'just loose enough', but the best solution is a new cap.
When it acts up, shut the engine off and quickly go and open the cap. If you hear it suck air, you found the problem.
In addition to what Rick mentioned regarding the air filters, I'll also suggest that you make sure that the crankcase breather is not restricted. I have an LS, and on those machine it's simply a piece of soft PVC hose running down in the area of the engine oil filter. If it gets kinked, the crankcase will pressurise and act much the same way..... Don't ask how I know.

Others have good ideas, but if you haven't changed both the outer and secondary air filters, you should.

Pull the fuel cap off next time it acts up. breather is probably plugged. If it is, the electric pump WILL collapse the plastic tank...

And after it collapses the tank it sucks the bottom onto the fuel pickup tube. NH has 2 caps. They have a newone that fits the newest loaders and yours too.It helps create less vacuum. just tell your parts man you want a green cap. If they have any experience at all he should know about this cap.

Maybe it's the electric pump as well.
