Leave your throttle lever pulled way back till started. The 520/530"s will start hard if you dont, & if the carb is in good shape you dont need more than half choke, even if it has been sitting for a month.

There is a high resistance connection(s) cable(s) in the electrical circuit. That when under the 400+ plus cranking amps. The voltage drops so low the ignition system can't jump a spark across the plugs.
Make certain the ballast resistor circuit and ballast bypass is working. And a 6V coil has been wiring in with the proper polarity.
Most people go to a + chassis system and wire the coil *ss backwards with the - lead going to the points.
Those 520/530's are sweat little tractors . Everything a B should have been and will shame a G in power and economy too. With live pto, live hydraulics, duplex carb and power steering besides.

You need a big tune up. What is happening is that your starter is drawing a lot of amperage, causing the weak ignition system to lower output.

First, check the batteries.. are they strong enough to roll over that tractor without being sluggish? 1000 cca's or more seems appropriate.

Check your battery cables for bad/corroded connections, and measure the output of the generator by checking battery voltage at higher rpms.

You may need new points and condenser, new plugs, wires, and distributor cap and rotor.

Can think of several reasons, most having to do with ignition. Clean and polish all your contact points under the distributor cap. Cant hurt.
